They are everywhere.
Back alleys, train stations, airports and even high schools.
In Japan they mostly serve drinks… it’s a bit rarer to see a food/snack vending machine. Probably because of the abundance of convenience stores around.
The reason why they’re awesome? They serve cold drinks all year round… but also hot drinks in winter. From coffee, hot chocolate, tea, hot lemon to … pancake:
They are also all backlit so they light your way home in the dark… and some of them even say ‘good morning’ and thank you for buying a drink.
