#081 Yoyogi Park

One of the coolest parks in Tokyo.

Wander around on a weekend and you’ll find families picnicking, musicians practicing and often weird and wild things. From contact juggling practice to team-building exercises the park is full of friendly hobbyists.

A great thing about it is that the facilities are good – lots of bins and public toilets and just a big green space:

Some Sundays they have a flea market just over the bridge which is good to pick up a bargain or just relax:

Another great thing is that you can visit Meiji Jingu shrine just around the corner and the fashionable shopping streets of Harajuku.

Come to Yoyogi park on a warm summer Sunday and you won’t be disappointed!
