Schools hold an annual bunkasai – it’s full of student activities, like music, dance, cafes, haunted houses and more creative activities.
‘Bunkasai’/文化祭 literally translates as a culture festival.
The bunkasai is a central feature of high school life in Japan.
It’s usually held in November to tie in with the national holiday: Culture Day 文化の日.
It’s a chance for students to work together, think outside the box and have fun!
