#181 Daiko

Not to be confused with taikodaiko is a unique type of taxi service in Japan.

A typical daiko service sends two drivers and one taxi.

代行 is made of the characters for ‘substitute’ and ‘trip/go’.

One driver will provide the customer with a ride and the other drives your car home.

Perfect if you had a tough day and ended up drinking at the bar and can’t drive home yourself.

Because in Japan, drink driving is black and white – there’s no safe limit. Any alcohol in your system is a no-no.
