Wagyu/和牛 means “Japanese beef”.
Everyone has heard of Kobe beef.
It’s known for superb quality and an equally high price tag.
Kobe isn’t the only place breeding and caring for these cows though.
There’s also Mishima, Matsusaka, Omi and Sanda.
They all are bred carefully to produce intense marbling of fat in the meat.
They massage the cows and can add some beer or sake to their feeding regime.
