#359 Homestay

Homestaying is when you are welcomed into someone’s family home for an extended stay.

Usually you’ve never met before and it’s organised through some type of programme or organisation.

They can vary in time, from a week to a few months.

Homestaying with a Japanese family is an amazing way to experience real Japanese life, language, foods and kindness.

It’s also extremely popular and many people register to be a part of this type of programme.

Even Japanese school kids do homestays in other parts of Japan on school trips!
