Seeing the sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji is a classic bucket list item.
But first, is the climb.
You can take a bus or train to the 5th station – after that you’re all alone.
Well, with the hundreds of other climbers.
Each station has many huts that offer over-priced food and drinks and shelter.
After several hours of climbing, you finally arrive to see the dawn break.
It is a breath-taking sight (but also very crowded at the top!)
A less known view is from the other side of the crater, you can see Mt. Fuji’s shadow!
Official climbing season is from early July to early September.
