Universal Studios Japan (often referred to just as U.S.J.) is located in Osaka!
In 2014, Sadako and the kid from the Grudge haunted regular attractions, Chucky had a haunted house and zombies roamed the streets after dark.
It’s a lot of fun and a little more grown up (and a bit less crowded) than Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea.
It still has around 10 million visitors per year, ranking it in the top 25 theme parks worldwide.
It also contains selected attractions from Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, like Back to the Future, the Amazing Spiderman, Jurassic Park and Jaws, to name a few.
But, there’s now more to it!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in July 2014 and is a super-crowded re-make of the one in the USA.
You’ll have to queue up for a while to enter Honeyduke’s sweet shop to get your hands on some Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor beans, but the main attraction and atmosphere is awesome.
