#407 Daikon Art

Latte art is a pretty common sight in nice coffee shops.

But have you ever had white radish, called daikon, grated and presented to you on your food as a kitty?

This new type of food-art has become popular recently and uses grated daikon as the base for a variety of cute characters.

Daikon is a quite bland vegetable but it is often grated and put into sauces for tempura, stewed or made into pickles.

It might not be the most exciting vegetable but it makes a good edible art material.
