#421 Kaki no Tane

This is the main brand of a type of spicy rice cracker snack mixed with peanuts.

It’s often found in bars as a snack as a good companion to beer.

柿/Kaki means persimmon and 種/tane is seed.

They’re called “Kaki no Tane” because they are shaped like persimmon seeds.

The most common flavors are plain spicy and wasabi.

You can also find pickled plum flavour.

There are also sweet versions (found in Village Vanguard).

Best of all, they’re inexpensive and tasty.
