#491 Tarako Spaghetti

Japan loves Italian food (and who doesn’t?)

One of Japan’s unique pasta dishes is Tarako spaghetti.

Tarako is salted cod roe.

It is mixed into a creamy, buttery sauce and coats the spaghetti.

It is often topped with sliced salted seaweed called nori.

Mentaiko is a spicy version of tarako, which originated from Korea, it’s also commonly used in this recipe.

If you’d like to try it yourself, check out this recipe from Cookpad.

You remember cookpad, right?
