#491 Tarako Spaghetti

Japan loves Italian food (and who doesn’t?)

One of Japan’s unique pasta dishes is Tarako spaghetti.

Tarako is salted cod roe.

It is mixed into a creamy, buttery sauce and coats the spaghetti.

It is often topped with sliced salted seaweed called nori.

Mentaiko is a spicy version of tarako, which originated from Korea, it’s also commonly used in this recipe.
