As well as exchaging gifts, and kind of big ones, like jewelry.
(Giving a present on Christmas day is only really popular with little kids)
Then of course, after exchaging gifts and going for a stroll in the lit streets, you have to pick up your pre-booked fried chicken bucket and munch away with Netflix (which came to Japan only a few months ago).
